its simple. if you like the shit show writing that is alien covenant and prometheus, you'll like it. If you dont, you won't. This is just a third Black goo movie. which gives the writer(s) permission to create whatever nonsensical monsters they want. It had problems from the start, little "movie mistake" type things that most people won't notice, I won't even bring them up specifically cause I don't want them to bother people that would otherwise miss them and enjoy the movie. And still, even as I kept noticing little things i internally was like "thats fine, just a movie mistake, it happens". They made facehuggers seem weaker..... could have gotten past that. I bascially just kept telling myself "eh thats not a big deal, thats fine, just ignore it" most of the way through the movie. Then came the black goo. And the alien sac/cacoon thing it grew up in. and how much more intelligent these aliens seemed to be (like the one that was just born but figures out somehow that the 1 girls friends are gonna come open the door for them so it waits as a trap???). By that point I was just mildly annoyed but still....its fine. Then we got the part engineer part human part alien ....... part dead space? monster. Lazy writing imo. so ..... so disappointed.
