Jesus, what a boring ass movie. About half way thru I decided I didn't care about the ending of this movie yet i was stuck in the theater with three other people. Dumb plot, dumb story, this movie should have never been made. Not one call back to the original. The original had a much better storyline. And what was with the weird awkward love shit between Kate and Tyler.

***Do yourself a favor and don't watch this, even when you can for free, don't watch this.***

@mediacenterkodi Definitely the best advice about not watching even for free. I can confirm that I watched it for free and boring is a compliment to this garbage. I feel extra terrible for anyone that paid to watch this.

@mediacenterkodi Not defending the movie because I equally found it boring and hollow, but there are plenty of call backs to the original. The phrases "suck zone" and "I'm not back!" are used, as well as the leverage to save a trapped leg. Dorothy 4 and by extension the trucks being named after other Wizard of Oz characters is a small wink and nod too. But you're right on the money with everything else, the most vapid and hollow extension of a franchise I've seen for a long time. Can't decide if it's wants to be a sequel, a remake or it's own thing all at the same time. A disjointed mess.

@mediacenterkodi Wish I had took your advice as totally agree, "Movie should never have been made" and just wanted to add that I've never come across so many annoying characters in one film that just needed a good slap around the face. Garbage from begining to End

The movie was trash. It will resonate with the country music loving rubes though. It wasn't fun, it was very predictable and cringey. If you enjoyed this movie... take a look in the mirror and do some deep thinking.

Twisters needs a trigger warning!

I've never liked country music, but I've never wanted to leave a movie because of it😡 it battered my brain in a painful way. #dontwatchifyoudontlikecountry

I had no interest in any character, couldn't stand powell's gang at all. and Anthony ramos spends tho entire film looking like he's just been told off by his dad. no one makes and kind of joke, and they all way too young to be so far in their field, no cows?

hoping for a good fanedit that replaces all the music and uses the originals, as even the score didn't match the scenes.ot desperately needs at least a chicken surround sound scene.

all but 8 shots of Powell are him doing a model stand with a fucking smug grin on his face.

Dumbest comment I've ever read. Are you watching a movie or listening to music?

Fair comment.

Didn't mind the music so much (here in Ireland it adds color to the movie) only mildly grating and clichĂŠd.

Agree with your description of the characters - so predictible, bland, clichĂŠd - esp that Tyler guy posing annoyingly.

A fanedit sounds like a good idea but I wouldn't bother to watch it again.

Good jump in your seat moments and effects.

HORRIBLE redo of a 90s classic, with mushy characters that noone cares if they live or die. With copied scenes from the original and nonexistent script this is easily a 3/10 rating. Do not waste your time

Sorry again. Not for me. I was expecting something else. Compared to "The Day After Tomorrow", as an example, this is simply boring, in my opinion. If you are looking for high intensity disaster movies, look elsewhere.

"If you feel it, CHASE IT!"

It's been a while since I've seen a natural disaster movie and what an experience it was! This movie does a fantastic job at capturing the risks involved in chasing tornadoes, as well as the dangerous aftermath they leave behind. Just watching these characters do the things they do left me at the edge of my seat. Definitely one of my favorite movies to come out this year for sure!

The USA patriotism in this one is umbearable and it becomes funny at some point.
Even more terrible watch than what I expected. If you don't eat red and white striped flags for breakfast just skip this one.

The Nashville country music that constitutes this movie's soundtrack makes it hard to watch.

I found myself scrubbing forward through several scenes to escape the music, but I never felt like I missed anything when I did. That says something about the film's thin plot.

The tornadoes looked cool though.

I may be in the minority, but I felt this was better than the original. In my opinion, a better story, with better characters. Was more engaged. Overall a great time at the movies with your friends, or date.

@lokystaz My money is on a bullshit reboot. Now that all the Boomers have retired from their Hollywood jobs, there's no longer any decent writers in Hollywood, so expect more of the mediocre SSDD

@lokystaz By the looks of the movie description, I'm thinking reboot. No mention of the previous characters or any of the advancements they 'discovered' by Dorothy's flight.

@lokystaz Looks like a bullshit reboot. None of the original cast are in it (of course Bill Paxton is dead, so there's that), so they can't even pass this off as "children of the originals". It's interesting that Hollywood can't ever come up with an original idea anymore because those idea things they need - what are they called again... oh yea, books - don't exist apparently.

A nice throwback with a classic blockbuster feel. Glen Powell is a true movie star and the movie is better with him as a sort of tornado Jack Sparrow rather than the main character. It loses a little of its shine in the back half but still finishes strong. It’s interesting how they play with your expectations around a legacy sequel but I can’t tell if that is by choice or not.

Instead of a raging storm of a movie, “Twisters” is more like a pleasant summer breeze. It's the kind of movie where you already know exactly what the solution to the grand finale will be after barely two minutes. And to be honest, the storyline could easily have been written by an AI. As a legacy sequel to "Twister," no characters are carried over, but most of the story elements are.

The fact that the movie is fun despite its generic approach is mainly due to the likeable actors. I did have my reservations about the tone for a while, but when Glen Powell appears for the first time, the whole thing is noticeably lightened up. That's why, all things considered, I was able to enjoy "Twisters." However, you should have a high tolerance for nonsense. Because it is, of course, summer blockbuster cinema without any depth. Of course, as a reboot of "Twisters," this fits quite well.

I didnt fall sleep in the cinema. Ok, adventure romcom kinda cliche. Why the director take so many shots of daisys back? Not complaining tho 😂 good to see the E.R. nurse is still around.

I just watched this today, I walked into this being a huge fan of the original Twister. If your question is do you need to watch Twister before watching Twisters, the answer is no. This movie is a complete standalone, it just focuses on tornado hunting in today's society with social media and updated technology.

There are nods to the original. I enjoyed every minute of this movie. I will be rewatching this soon when I take my mum and family friend to go watch this movie.

Want a good time go watch Twisters.

An excellent example of a popcorn movie to watch in theaters. I was very surprised and impressed by the way the movie was able to enhance and develop the characters and their interactions. That drama aspect might actually be my favorite part of the entire movie, not the disaster action. There is some cool science, a very American cultural aesthetic in terms of the costumes and music, and an excellent cast of characters. Glen Powell continues his rise to stardom, but this is Daisy Edgar-Jones' movie. As someone who has been a fan of hers since Normal People, it is so gratifying to see her star turn here, and I hope she gets more recognition and roles going forward. If I had one complaint, it would be that the movie felt a bit too long with one set piece too many, and if it had been cut by 20-30 minutes, it would have been stronger. Regardless, go watch this on the big screen.
