This movie is probably not for everyone but it was absolutely terrific. You have to be a fan of political thrillers and especially interested in history or this is just going to seem like a weak drama with very little in the way of character development. In all honesty, there really _was_ very little character development because the story was based on actual events that took place in 1962, and the film was focused on the events…not the people. Kevin Costner got top billing here - and he played his part very well - but in all honesty, this was not "a Kevin Costner movie"; this (again) was a movie about EVENTS - not people - so Costner's character was blended in with all-star performances from a wide cast that all performed beautifully.

If you like political thrillers (and **please** don't count _War Games_ as a "political thriller" when it's so outlandishly ridiculous that it's an insult to the average intelligence) you'll probably enjoy this one. If, like myself, you're also a bit of a history buff and enjoy knowing the stories of events that have taken place in the history of the United States, you will probably really enjoy this one. Don't expect a lot of fast cars, hot women, machine guns, explosions or kickboxing fights here…but expect to be thoroughly engrossed and (hopefully) on the edge of your seat when you realize just how dangerously close we came to nuclear war with the Soviet Union in 1962.

**PS: The only reason I gave this a "9" instead of a "10" is because I have no idea what "Totally Ninja" is supposed to mean but it sounds completely lame compared to"Superb". This movie was "Superb".**
