After the death of his wife, wealthy retiree Justin Playfair creates a fantasy world for himself in which he is the legendary detective Sherlock Holmes, even dressing like the character. Out of concern for Justin's money more than his health, his brother Blevins puts him under the care of psychiatrist Dr. Mildred Watson. As Dr. Watson grows fond of Justin, she begins to play along with his theories, eventually becoming an assistant in his investigations.

Fun Holmes and Watson adventure through an unexpecting 1970s NY Times Square. George C Scott is magical in every role he takes on. The romance aspect I thought was very fitting. I'd say about 80% of this movie had it's heart in the right place, the last 20minutes or so felt extremely out of place.

Starts great. Becomes a little boring but the developing romance is fantastic. It does have a certain magical feel to it but I think it just falls short of being spectacular. I can understand why some really like it. I'm not sure I liked the ending.
