A very lackluster entry. This took me over a day to watch it, going in chunks. I kept getting bored by it. Though to be fair, I have seen it before, so that doesn't help.
The plot is convoluted, but not in a fun way. The daughter killed her father to take control of his oil company, and then wants to nuke the other pipeline so her pipeline is the only pipeline? Who cares! It's so fucking boring! They lead you on with a twist (which was super obvious, by the way) all to mask how absolutely dull the plot is.

God damn, both Denise Richards and Sophie Marceau are hot as fuck in this. (Do yourself a favor and _don't_ look up what Denise Richards looks like now. Plastic surgery should be outlawed, yeesh.) Definitely up there in the pantheon of Bond girls. Even though Christmas Jones is an incredibly silly character, where they didn't even try to make it believable. A stark contrast to one film previous where Michelle Yeoh plays a very much believably competent Bond girl.

- What the hell was the point of the red suit lady (credited "Cigar Girl") to be waiting outside MI6 in the boat? All she did was take a few shots as Bond just so happened to poke his head out of the conveniently made hole, and then run away. It was nothing but an excuse to begin a chase scene. Made no sense.
- One huge drawback about this era of Bond is how the tricked-out car of the film was just used to shill BMW every time. They're such lame and uninteresting cars.
- Not feeling pain does not make you invincible. Your body still gets damaged. In fact, while it might be slightly useful up to a point, it's actually a liability to not feel pain, because you could be injuring yourself to the point of incapacitation and not immediately realize it.
- Valentin's casino looked and felt so cheap. Like the level of a TV production. Not something befitting a James Bond film at all.
- Tree saw helicopters are not really that much of a threat. Just leave the area, dumbass.
- It's understandable why Renard is ok with dying, but why are all those henchmen on the sub going along with it?? It's not like they have lethal bullets in _their_ brains!
- The scene at the end with M being unaware that Bond is having sex is just embarrassingly cringey. Supremely unnecessary scene.
