Kelly LeBrock shines among Wilder's blunders

This movie is awful, and I couldn't even finish it. It begins out like it wants to be a laugh out loud affair but falls flat on its face after the scene with Kelly LeBrock's character getting upskirted. I liked that scene, and that was largely the best scene outside of the seagulls and pretty horses. Also, the line about the little boy having a cute pee-pee made me nearly want to retch as it sounded pornographic and had absolutely no place whatsoever.

Kelly Le Brock stars as The Woman in Red in this formulaic and stereotypical ‘80s rom-com. Written and directed by Gene Wilder, the film follows a middle-aged family man who becomes infatuated with a beautiful model, but the infatuation soon starts to cause problems with his career and his family. Aside from Le Brock and Wilder, there are a number of talented comedic actors in the cast, including Gilda Radner and Charles Grodin. But the film is incoherent, and nothing is really achieved or learned by the characters. There are funny moments here and there, but The Woman in Red is a forgettable and unremarkable comedy.
