The Wolf Man truly is Lon Chaney Jr's baby. Every time I rewatch Universal's the Wolf Man I still find myself as entertained as the first time I watched it. Lon Chaney truly owned the character and the film. I love the foggy scenes at night, I love the cast. Maria Ouspenskaya is amazing as Maleva, Bela Lugosi is always fun to see especially when he rocks his only scene, Evelyn Ankers as Gwen is a great early scream queen and we even get treated with some Claude Rains!

The story is simple but it works. It's amazing to see Larry change from happy go lucky creepy man to a man who's mighty depressed when he finds out what he has become. I also love the fact the he is the only one who played the role of Larry Talbot/Wolf Man in the early Universal Monster scene.

I must be honest though, I've never seen the other times he appeared as the Wolf Man even though I freaking love these early Universal Horror movies. So maybe this will be the year I'll dive deeper in these fun movies.

Anyway The Wolf Man still stand the test of time and if you remotely love movies, the 70 minutes it takes to watch this classic is a must!
