The movie where Donald tries to get laid. Three Caballeros is just a whole lotta nothing happening pretending its something. Oddly the technology used here to transplant it against live action actors was oddly ahead of their time. Unfortunately, like Saludos Amigos, this is a sorta half-documentary format looking into the culture of various countries. Only worse. In spite of being 30-minutes longer I feel like I legit came out having learned even less about the countries involved. They less so explain anything they're talking about to you and instead mostly just do quick lip service about "hey, this cool thing exists", which would be neat if everything they talked about wasn't stuff I already knew about and couldn't gleam from a Google search of "5 Wacky Facts about THIS Country". Maybe this was better back when the internet didn't exist, but this just felt so pointless to watch. Like Saludos Amigos, it feels kinda exploitative to essentially regurgitate another country's culture without any of the context onto what is essentially a false documentary for the purposes of reselling it to predominantly white audiences made by predominantly white guys (as said by me, ALSO a white guy). Jose and Panchito are cool, but they can't save what is at its core a surface flat nothing burger of a film.
