Way they speak Mandarin and Cantonese was too funny for me to fit myself into the movie 😂
First half hour was kind of slow and thought going Ocean 11 way..but then every thing changed..loved the action sequences a lot..
It was an okay watch. I was too excited to see Jun Ji-Hyun in the movie. I was little looking forward to seeing her and Kim Soo Hyun so I had a lot of expectations. The movie is not worthy of a re-watch. It felt to American style and I just found out its a re-make of oceans 11 so that pretty much explains why I felt that.
One scene will always stay with me and that is scene where they swing around a tall building while chasing each other. Such an awesome scene. Anyway The Thieves is a Korean version of Ocean'#39;s Eleven but without the group working together. They all '#34;work together'#34; to cross, double cross, triple cross, quadruple cross each other. It is tough to keep track, at least for me. But it didn'#39;t matter in the end because it is entertaining! (Ps. I read the plot at wikipedia after and I close) The characters are fun and I enjoyed the humor. However I don'#39;t know why but I had high expectations for the Thieves. I didn'#39;t deliver those but it did leave me entertained and like I said at the beginning, the chase scene around the tall building is the highlight and makes this a must watch. (Or youtube the scene, whatever).

**Two gangs for one big heist.** It looks not bad, but too long. From the director of 'Woochi' and 'Assassination', though it came between them and I'm seeing it now since I liked them both. An international cast film, I mean some well known Korean and Hong Kong actors in this multi-starrer. The story of two thief gangs joins hands to steal a diamond necklace in a casino in Macau. It's a team work, everyone is assigned to do their part, but due to some old incidents, they lose trust on one another. Followed by betrayal, how the heist takes place and what happens to them comes in the final quarter. The actors were good, but their roles were so usual. At least the story looked better, but too much drag in the first half. Once their work begins to take off, the narration with those stunt sequences gets interesting. Even though I felt it should have been better, the screenplay should have kept tight. With so many characters, too many twists. So feels like it all jammed, though none of them were stunning enough, particularly a theme like this needed one that. I have seen a better heist film, I bet did as well, so this film won't surprise, but okay for watching once. _6/10_
