Loved the visual style and the dialogue. Very refreshing.

However, the out-of-order story telling was completely unnecessary and detracted from the decent flow in the scenes. The scenes themselves had a poetry that was quite pleasant to watch, but that is completely ruined with each jump. It is incredibly annoying considering there is absolutely no payoff to the story to tell it out of order, except perhaps two ir three scenes that should be flash backs. The rest should just be cut and the flash forwards are insipid. Keep things linear unless there is a good reason not to. It doesn't create intrigue or mystery. It doesn't create suspense or drama. It is just annoying to watch.

Also, what is up with the audio? I'm a huge fan of not having the level as ridiculously high as modern shoes and movies have it, but this is just as ridiculous in the other way. I felt like I needed a hearing aid even with the volume about 3-4 times higher than I set it for anything else.

With friends like those, who needs enemies.
