The Mutation

After a deadly experiment on a rat goes wrong, the mutated rat has been set loose in a city and a group of detectives are on the hunt for the beast. As the body count rises, no one is safe, and the rat is growing at a rapid pace. It's a competently made micro-budget British creature horror film. Nothing spectacular by any means, but I had so much fun watching it. The performance from the lead is actually pretty good but the romance parts are so cheesy and have this heavy porn vibe to it. Also funny how some of the victim first reaction is to fight the giant rat instead of run for their life. It's got monsters with costume and CGI. Both look scary and ridiculous at the same time, although I'd prefer if the costume one act like rats instead of furries. The kills are surprisingly gory and there's some cool fight scenes.
