Given the name and the artwork for this, I thought it was going to be geared toward kids. Nope. While not being very violent or bloody, this is not for kids... likely a PG-13. What we get here is a horror anthology: three stories, sandwiched between music at the titular Monster Club. Tonally, the movie has some problems, however, by the end, I actually liked it. Let's breakdown the stories: 1. Was unexpectedly tragic and surprisingly gruesome. 2. Was horror comedy. 3. Was the best one, being creepy and atmospheric. The musical moments were hit or miss, ranging everywhere from rock, to post punk, to ska. Vincent Price obviously shines here, as always. Such a legend. I'd recommend this to fans of _Creepshow_ (1982) or the Tales from the Crypt series. Although not a flawless movie, there is a lot to enjoy here. It would make a fun watch during October, just know what to expect. I could see liking this more after another viewing. The striptease scene was a fun, macabre moment by itself.

A damn good horror anthology I enjoyed more than I thought I would. Before going in, I knew that it's going to be a lighthearted one, so I had no idea I was going to love this. Leaning towards the comedy side, it is more hilarious and entertaining than it is scary. While these stories aren't that scary, at least not nowadays, for the most part they are all fun to watch. The music performances in-between the horror tales, which is part of the wraparound, I wasn't sure about that at first, but those performances are absolutely fantastic and turns out that's what makes this anthology more noteworthy and memorable. The gothic/romance and the folk horror ones are clearly the winner, but the vampire hunting one is enjoyable as well. If you're in the mood for some light horror and some comedy, this is a solid choice.

There isnt much redeeming about this film that really doesnt know what it wants to be, but at least we get Vincent Price story introductions and the final story which are both well done. I really cant say much for the first 2 stories. A decent watch and also the biggest waste of Donald Pleasance's talent in film that I can think of.

I honestly didn't know whether to laugh or cry as I struggled through 100 minutes of this camply surreal pseudo-horror exercise. Vincent Price - I don't recall him playing a vampire ever before (or since) snacks on an old gent (John Carradine) he meets on the street. By way of payment, he invites hi More
