Started off well and then went down hill. At least the ending was correct.

Started off really well, kept strong, started to flop, flopped hard, and got interesting again. The story was great, so many thoughts and conversations we all have, thrown into one. Luc and Mila could never go wrong in my eyes. She might not have been the best, but the acting just got better and better. I love how it remained a mystery, going back and forth between potential reasonings. The score could have been memorable, and the casting was memorable. I learnt afew things, especially as time went on, but some things felt really unnecessary, unlike the comedy, which was nessasry.

I was very disappointed by Eric Serra's music. If it had a great score, it would have been a lot better. Eric Serra makes great music. I don't understand what happened here.

Gritty and impassioned, The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc is a powerful historical epic from director Luc Besson. During England’s occupation of France during the Hundred Years’ War a young maiden named Joan, who claims to have received visions from God, petitions the Dauphin of France to give her an army to drive out the English. The film does an excellent job at showing the conflict within Joan as she’s swept up in the fever of war but struggles to remain righteous. And the violence of is especially brutal and quite graphic, giving a real authentic feel to the warfare of the time. Also, the performances by Milla Jovovich and Dustin Hoffman are extraordinary. Additionally, score is remarkably well-done and really complements the tone of the film. The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc is a thrilling and provocative biopic that provides new insight into a fascinating historical figure.
