very nice movie, hard to come by these days

Spoilers

I loved it, did not expect this from the movie description nor name though.
The young actress was also really good for her character in the movie, and I'#39;m talking about Abigail (A.K.A Kaitlyn Bernarda).
****Good hearted, emotionally fulfilling movie that is surprisingly good**** I didn'#39;t have much hope for the movie based on the actors as they'#39;re not well known... however I'#39;m very glad I took the time to watch it. Oliver Jackson-Cohen played a very good role for this well written, somewhat emotionally tugging (in a good way) script. There isn'#39;t anything specifically that will jump out to you or blow you away, however by the end, you'#39;ll feel very rewarded by what comes to light as the overall reason the movie was written and produced has one of the best undertones I'#39;ve seen from anything in movies recently. There isn'#39;t a huge God based message in the movie, despite being about faith and something bigger. Overall, I think Paul Newman would absolutely give The Healer a thumbs up. Most will be happy they spent the time to watch and feel emotionally rewarded for their time. Despite this movie not costing much to make, it'#39;s certainly one of the better flicks I'#39;ve seen this year. Paco Arango did a wonderful job! You cannot miss it. Very highly recommended movie. My score: 7/10.

This is actually quite an engaging, optimistic film with the 6" 3', handsome, OJC as an electrician who sets up a business in a small town - only to discover that the residents think he can cure their ailments. As it transpires through his uncle - Jonathan Pryce - there is a scintilla of truth to the yarn and he has to deal with some quite heart-rending emotional struggles as he faces his new reality. One has to be careful not to confuse this innocent fantasy with any misleading, dangerous, medical mysticism; but the script and direction from Paco Arango keep it clear that fictional and fanciful the whole thing is. It's got a bit of a burgeoning romance and some touching moments with a young, terminally ill, girl as well as nice scenery to complement it too, and though hardly strenuous on the little grey cells, it is still worth a watch.
