This was a very good story but something about the filmmaking aspect was off. There were definitely some wonderful aspects about the film but there were other elements that just didn't work. Things I have a difficult time putting my finger on. At first, I thought some of the acting was dreadful which didn't make a whole lot of sense to me because I know these people can act. Plus, what seemed off about the acting was pretty consistent at times between several of the actors. That told me that it was probably the director who pushed them to act in a particular style that just didn't work. When the acting was bad, the scenes came off almost surreal which did nothing to enhance the story. Also, the music was dreadful. The soundtracks were good and very fitting but it was the score that I found very annoying. Almost like a ambient horror flick score, if you can imagine that. It ended up sounding cheesy. All in all, a real shame because I believe that this could have and should have been a good movie.
