Liked: Love the overall concept of these two heartbroken women finding solace and love in unusual circumstances. The film is filled with beautiful scenes, like the parallel of Lucia and Mariana finding about their loved one has died: no dialogue just the two women reacting in full grief, the starting point of their journey together. Another beautiful visual scene is when the two take the step into physical intimacy. Their first kiss leads straight into sleeping with each other, a scene that is filled with artistic silhouettes of limbs over limbs, no sure where one ends and the other begins. Whie Lucia does cheat on her husban of 4 yrs, it is clearly protrayed through out the film that their relationship close to ending, each moving clearly wanting and valuing different things. It comes as no surprise that Lucia leaves her husband for Mariana, specially after seeing him value a business trip over his wife's emotional well being. I do give the film major kudos for ending the film on a happy note. Mariana and Lucia are seen as now living together happily, Mariana revealing that she is pregnant with Adrian's child, to the joy of both women, having gotten pregnant before his death.

Issues: The script is under developed. We needed more dialogue to fully follow the journey of these two women healing and falling in love. The film spends to much time lingering in visually empty moments. Though we know the two women have bonded over the death of a loved one, it is unclear how they fall in love or show romantic interest between them. There are is little of linger romantic touches or glances. Though they are physcally comfortable with each other (hugs, cheek kisses, minor hand holding) it didn't translate to me as them falling in love. Also, the time frame for them going from straight women to lovers in less than a week, while both are in mourning. I wish we had a greater timeframe for this. Or maybe even mentions of either woman being bi or interested in women. One of the films weaker points is it's use of magicial realism as it connects Lucia and her brother. It's very much dropped by the second half of the film. Valuable screen time that could have been put to better use developing the romantic journey between Lucia and Mariana.

Overall: it's an interesting concept and the leads work well together. The film has some beautiful shots and moments, but falls short with the writing.
