The Estate tries to blend dark humor with family drama but falls flat in many areas. The premise—a group of relatives competing for an inheritance—had potential, but the execution feels half-baked. Some of the comedic moments land, but the humor often relies too heavily on predictable and forced jokes. The cast is talented and tries their best, but the characters lack depth, making it hard to invest in any of them. The film struggles to find its tone, bouncing between absurdity and emotional moments that don’t quite hit. While there are a few laughs, the story lacks the cleverness needed to keep things engaging. It’s not the worst comedy, but it’s not particularly memorable either. Worth a watch if you’re looking for something light, but don’t expect much beyond a few chuckles.

This is like when you make a cake, and it turns out terrible but you can't understand why. You followed the directions, used all the ingredients, yet it flopped in the oven. This film should work but it just doesn't, the script is just never as funny, or as black, as it could be, it's like they held back. The acting is fine but it just can't carry the film.

A good cast are undermined by a mostly unfunny script. With sharper wit, this could have been a movie worth inheriting.
