Jesus, this film is bad. Unlike Tazz, I persevered beyond the first 10 minutes....but I think he made the right call.

The opening credits are arguably the best thing about this film (!), which had a promising professional look, using medieval style wood carvings. Once the movie starts however, it's clear it's a budget project, which is fine and you can find good films made on a shoestring, but this ain't one of them.

The easy things to spot as bad - the acting and script - are noticeably amateurish, but even beyond the obvious, it's all bad: the directing/framing of shots, the music, the continuity, the special effects makeup....oh man.

The setup is a well worn trope but I kinda like it, which is what drew me to it, and there was some attempts at plot twists, but overall it's just a very poor production. Also, I still don't understand why [spoiler]the girl and the soldier didn't _both_ get in the jeep at the end and drive off - there seemed no reason beyond 'this will make for a more emotional finish'[/spoiler].

For a film that is barely 80 minutes long, it felt a lot more of a slog than it should have. Sadly, it's not even in the campy "so bad it's good" bracket. Avoid.
