This movie was so bad that I forgot I already watched it back in 2021... I've seen two horror movies from this director / writer duo and I hope to never see a third.

If you can set aside expectations of big Hollywood production and engage in this movie, you might just like it. The young lead actor is amazing. It isn't the most original story, nor does it have expensive bells and whistles, but it's not a bad little horror.

Decently made but didactic and only slightly scarier than a Goosebumps episode. I don't regret watching it, but I wouldn't recommend it. It's meh; it's mid.

they could have done a lot more with the Djinn and/or past trauma, even in the single location, but they didnt. the kid actor did the best job he could with the material, it was just boring and bland.

The Djinn is yet another reimagining of the old 'careful what you wish for, you just might get it' (or, as Wilde wrote, “There are only two tragedies in this world.
