Huh, this is B-movie and somewhat campy?! I didn't expect that going in. A lot of the filmmaking is B-movie level (editing, dialogue, special effects, bad voice re-recording with an echo, weird character interactions...) but the sets, style and thick atmosphere more than makes up for all that.

It's hard not to compare this to *Batman*, in fact I had to remind myself "this is not the Joker!" he makes the same facial expressions. On top of that the city and atmosphere is similar to Gotham, always rainy, damp, dark, dirty and full of crime. The supernatural aspect is what makes it an original spin on the genre, coming back from the dead for revenge is pretty cool.

The characters are surface level but they're entertaining on-screen. The acting is hit and miss but Brandon Lee was Joker worthy. It's such a shame that he died so early, I would have loved seeing his next projects after this. I really enjoyed the two main villains, very cliché but so entertaining.

The soundtrack slaps. Good dark humor. It feels like it's trying too hard to be a disturbing movie at times, but it never gets there. The action doesn't disappoint, it could have used more of it in the first half but the second half was intense. Great car chase sequence and I enjoyed the final fight.
