The film is bizarre, creepy and very innovative, using a variety of techniques that give the narrative a unique dynamic. The work stands out for its quick cuts that maintain the continuity of ideas, moments that emphasize facial expressions, and angles with first-person views, all employed in a unique way. The story develops gradually, constantly sustaining a tense and weird atmosphere. Narrated by the protagonist, the plot takes on an almost monologue-like tone, punctuated by interactions with other characters. As the plot progresses, it becomes increasingly disturbing and unsettling, exploring unimaginable territories within the time period in which the story takes place. The result is a truly impactful experience.

So ahead of and yet deeply of its time. Herz was wildly ambitious here with his direction- the first person views, the way scenes would ebb and melt into each other from one conversation to the next, as if a dream. It really captures the slipping and deluded consciousness of the lead. Hrušínský i More

This film blew me away. It's done in the style of a beautiful tone poem. Yet, the subject is the horror of ethnic cleansing. The juxtaposition is riveting.
