That '90s vibe is definitely real in The Craft, and the movie does have some pretty cool moments. However, overall, I was a bit disappointed. It starts as a decent teenager/coming-of-age dramedy, but it gradually shifts into a strange mix of screaming, “pranks,” rivalry, and magical battles. Maybe that chaotic energy reflects the essence of teenagehood—mixing it with witchcraft just escalates everything to an absurd level.

At some point, I found it hard to keep up with what was happening, to be honest. What started as a fun and intriguing movie ended in a way that left me uncertain about what to take from it. There’s definitely an undercurrent of nostalgia that adds charm, but beyond that, the movie felt more like a product of its era than something with lasting depth.

That being said, The Craft does touch on interesting themes like friendship, power, revenge, and identity. It portrays the allure of belonging and how it can unravel when trust is broken or power is abused. The four main characters—Sarah, Nancy, Bonnie, and Rochelle—each bring their own struggles and motivations, which is initially compelling. But the execution loses focus, and by the climax, the storyline feels a bit flat.

Despite my mixed feelings, The Craft undeniably has its moments. From its iconic outfits and memorable quotes to the way it captures the darker side of teenage angst, it has cemented itself as a cult classic for fans of supernatural dramas. Maybe I just didn’t fully connect with it, but I can understand why others have such fond memories of it.
