Another committed comedy by the legendary Soldini. This time even more playful than his previous ones, the director leaves himself open to the interaction of the afterlife, historical characters, and a smidgen of surrealism. The themes (the bond with the Belpaese and the power of emotional ties) and actors (Battiston and Rohrwacher) dear to him are present. In addition, we find here other pillars of contemporary Italian cinema such as Mastandrea, Gerini and Zingaretti in their debut with Soldini. The result is a pleasant, unpretentious feature film that stirs just the right amount of feelings to spend a couple of hours in the name of good cinema.
