Could not watch that movie past the first 30 minutes because I disliked the female lead Lacey and was really frustrated with her attitude. Her best friend asks her to decorate a cottage for her wedding and specifically wishes for a cozy and colorful Christmas atmosphere yet FL ignores it (because she’s a “pro” and thinks she knows better), then the mother of the bride repeats the specific wishes for the decorations and points out how important it is for the bride but Lacey just says “trust me” and continues with her plan. I quit when she was decorating the cottage in cold white and was reminded again that the bride wished for something entirely different. To me FL looked arrogant and totally disrespectful towards her best friend as she never planned to fulfill her wishes but decided by herself what’s best. I mean I get it, it’s her profession and all but it’s just rude to completely ignore your best friend’s wishes for her special day. Also Lacey and Ean are like cat and dog. They don’t match at all in my opinion. I really didn’t want to see them suddenly falling in love with each other just because of some legendary match-making magic. Sorry, that movie just didn’t work for me the way it is.
