Frustrating. _Easily_ the worst one so far. I love the found footage and fake documentary horror categories, but the crucial part is making it feel real. That was completely abandoned here. The story was too "serious" for what was happening on screen if you spent just a few seconds thinking about it. Also the addition of cinematic angles felt very jarring.

Most of the movie I felt extremely frustrated, for example:

- Why wouldn't the police be with him while he joined the chat room? They dated this movie to be 2022, they have FBI agents on the case, and they couldn't even have set up screen sharing???

- Why is he searching the forest alone? At this point there is a missing girl and the guy is telling him to look out there, why doesn't the local police join?

- Why is he touching the camera and opening the mailbox instead of immediately alerting the police? FBI?? He even took the camera down and home with him!!

- WHY IS THE POLICE OKAY WITH HIM OPENING THE BOTTLE!? CAN'T THEY JUST COME OVER?!

- WHY IS HE WATCHING THESE FILES BEFORE THE POLICE!?

- HE JUST TOOK THE EVIDENCE WITH HIM BACK HOME IN ANOTHER STATE

Okay so he's "deputized", but still he has NO training and more importantly he has no idea how to secure a crime scene!

If you want to do stories like these you're gonna need actors buddy.

At a certain point I just threw my hands in the air and had to say "f*ck it, whatever..", but I have to admit it kinda ruined the series for me a bit. I'll watch #8, but I'm guessing it's just more child-logic.
