The Black Balloon

This is a beautiful coming of age movie. Thomas and his family just moved to a new town and he has to adjust to a new life with new people. On top of that he has to deal with his brother Charlie who is autistic. He meets a new girl who doesn't mind Charlie his behavior and forms a relationship with her, but things get complicated because of his brother Charlie. This movie is truly a gem! The story is very well thought, moving and funny at times. This movie gives an authentic demonstration what it is like to live with someone who has autism. Both Thomas his father and mother show that they truly love Thomas despite his disability. Charlie feels that his brother gets all the attention and he wishes that his brother was normal. But in the end he realizes that that will never happen and tries to build a brother relationship with Thomas as good as it can be.
