It's seems this movie has garnered a lot of hate, I can say that as a person who use to hate Ben Affleck with a burning passion (No clue why really) He's been pumping out movies that are making me like him. I'll admit that yes this movie needs to kinda get its timeline straightened out or at least use the 2 hours to maybe explain things better or maybe run 2 hours and 30 mins for some more explanation the ending feels way too rushed. Now as for a shooting movie goes it's not bad I've seen better and I've defiantly seen worse honestly it works out for me I enjoyed it.
Brax being the brother I caught pretty fast I think we all did, I also think they should have not made it so obvious until the moment they meet more suspense that way
Some good actors overall with some B-rated actors throw in cause you know budget or whatever.

Over all:

Story: 7/10- Kid with a form of autism becomes the most bad ass accountant and elite assassin! can you get any better than that? Nah, but maybe if you put the time skips in a nicer order, change some of the scenes around and explained some more stuff this would be a better film.

Visuals: 8/10- Who doesn't like the outdoors so outdoorsy that you can shoot off your sniper rifle at a miles distance without anyone complaining so backwoods that shit,
you name your company ZZZ and you laundry money through a fucking laundry mat! wtf
Over all, anyone who doesn't like this film is either not a big fans of guns blazing films or isn't a big fan of the story. Like I've said the story needs work but I still like this movie.. Adding it to my very very very small list of movies that star ben that I like

@betawolf I haven't been much of a fan of Ben's either. I did like that coming out movie he did based in Boston, (Can't remember the name offhand), he was good in that. He's good in this too, only because it doesn't require much acting, being that he can play the character with a straight face. LOL<br /> This is a larger than life flick, and I thoroughly enjoyed it, because it does the genre well IMHO.

@betawolf I don't get why did u rate it as an excellent if "the movie needs work" as u said. If u have seen better movies it's because it's not a 10.

I loved this movie.

It has just the enough amount of action for - not the have the whole movie revolve around it, and still enjoy great guns, gunning, and sniper rifles.
The movie had no "comic" (AKA Idiotic) character, for which i'm thankful. The characters were believable enough and convinced me they acted in a senseable and logical way. Our lead character is the unlike superhero which we're used to see, and has his personal problems, which really made me like him.
The story was nice enough and i really looked forward to see what happens!

I liked Ben here, him being serious and kind'a down spirited. I think the since Good Will Hunting, when his buddy Matt won the raffle of playing the suffering genius, he (Ben) wanted to act this part. So they gave it to him + many guns !

Overall - Not the banal action movie but a good and classy one. I recommend.

P.S Good for Jonny B, who else but TWD's Shane, for acting yet another douchey bad guy.

Spoiler edit:
is it just me or that the J K Simmons storyline had hardly anything to do with the main plot?!? OK They had their thing in the 10 years ago past, but since then - only that lame phone call! what gives??
**Without being brilliant, this is an honest film, which gives us what it promises and which harmoniously combines dramatic tension, touches of romance and quality action.**

Overall, I was quite satisfied with this film: it's not a really original thriller, but it has an interesting enough story to catch our attention and make us watch everything without feeling like we're wasting our time. It all revolves around an autistic accountant with a very interesting client list, which includes all types of mobsters and criminals. Of course, he attracts the attention of the authorities and, as the cops get closer to their target, things start to heat up and the action starts to get more interesting.

Directed by Gavin O’Connor, the film unfolds without dead moments and without the romantic sub-plot seeming to be too much or simply taking up space. The pace is not too fast, but we also don't feel bored at any point. On a more technical level, there is truly nothing that stands out or exceeds the average, apart from the action scenes, which are well-thought-out and done with care. As a piece of entertainment, this is a film that gives us what it promises and is honest in the promises made, without ever proving brilliant or unforgettable.

Affleck is a solid protagonist and offers us a confident and confident interpretation of a character that, in the hands of a less experienced actor, could even seem somewhat offensive to someone who is truly autistic. I didn't feel that, nor did it seem to me that the actor was overacting. The film also features good performances by Anna Kendrick and John Lithgow.

**Overall : A fresh action standout with unique characters and excellent fight sequences. The Accountant's numbers just add up!**

The Accountant was an unexpected action thriller with unique character choices. Ben Affleck's Chris Wolff is a highly capable and efficient hitman with high functioning autism that leads a double life as a forensic accountant-not a typical main character in an action movie and is handled brilliantly well. However, the true highlight of this movie is the writing making each moment and character feel fresh and memorable. Fantastic action sequences and an outstanding cast, along with the exceptional writing, elevates The Accountant well above average action flicks to a special must-see action standout.

**Surprisingly decent**

IMHO Ben Affleck has the ability to stink up the screen and has done so on a number of occasions, thankfully this was not one of them. The premise was good, the characters interesting and the action worked within the story. None of it felt forced which was a nice surprise. Worth a one time watch. ;)
