Wacky, Wild , Stylish

Tovino Thomas starrer Thallumaala is a loud, wild and stylized fight fest which instills a new gen vibe and breaks genre cliches. A fresh entertainer which has even though struggles with a solid storyline and relies on well placed flashbacks and scintillating fight sequences. It is one of the most vibrant, colourful flicks coming from Kerala which invariably because of its beautiful cinematography, and crazy editing. The songs are well shot and are visually striking. The dark comedy is backed by sumptuous background score which adds to adequate theatrics of the scene.

Tovino is one of the finest from the industry and hands down he is a flamboyant charmer who steals the show here. He is brilliant from start till finish and his presence makes this film more grounded and fun. The supporting cast is equally good. Kalyani Priyadarshan gives us a solid female lead performance in a fresh new role. Lukman, Chacko are amongst the others who just give their best in this one.

Overall, Thallumaala is a wild, colourful story of a bunch of guys and their history of brawls. If you appreciate creative storytelling and are a sucker for beautifully choreographed hand to hand action set pieces then stop everything and watch Thallumaala now. Expect less from a linear story standpoint and get engrossed in this wild , crazy ride.
