A playful and twisted psychological thriller with a touch of dark comedy. It uses unfamiliar elements and put them in familiar backdrop to create this country music / horror thriller hybrid that's really fun to watch. There are parts that just feel way too cheesy, though in the first 30 minutes. Mostly the singing parts and I'm not a big fan of country music. But it gets more thrilling and entertaining from there. The entire cast and the technical aspect of this film are also great. Overall, it's a solid fun watch and I think it's one of the better Blumhouse TV productions I've seen.

wow brothers and sister i mean milf rockstar lady tries to take advantage of teen girl rockstars. The showbiz is pretty fucked up. Trust no one or go solo haha.

This isn't horror at all.

Good enough to make me wish it was a little better. Competently done with some amazing shots and an effectively tense atmosphere, but fell short with its pacing (the beginning dragged and then events started to escalate too quickly, which took me out of the movie for a bit). In my opinion, the groundwork had not been properly laid for a lot of what happened through the middle and end. While I found the ending good, I didn't quite buy how we got there. ===MILD SPOILERS=== I also felt there was commentary here that was being made but didn't have as much bite and clarity as I wanted. Sometimes it felt like a satire, sometimes like horror, but muddled its tone and critique to where nothing really came through as a deeper theme than "some people will do anything to be famous." It seemed like for a time it was commenting on older generations of women making younger generations go through bad things because they had to, replicating cycles of trauma and abuse rather than stopping them, but even this was sort of lost by the end. ===END OF SPOILERS=== Still, I was thoroughly entertained and engaged the whole time. The set and costuming were absolutely on point, the music felt real and acting was generally well done ::chefs kiss::
