Four friends from a sleepy little village in Punjab share a common dream: to go to England. Their problem is that they have neither the visa nor the ticket. A soldier alights from a train one day, and their lives change. He gives them a soldier's promise: He will take them to the land of their dreams. What follows is a hilarious and heartwarming tale of a perilous journey through the desert and the sea, but most crucially through the hinterlands of their mind.

Dunki is a comedy-drama directed by Rajkumar Hirani and starring Shah Rukh Khan as a soldier who helps a group of friends from Punjab to illegally immigrate to England. The film has its moments of humour, emotion, and satire, but also suffers from a predictable plot, a simplistic view of the immigration issue, and a lengthy runtime. The performances are decent, especially by Khan and Taapsee Pannu, who play the romantic leads. Dunki is a well-intentioned film that tries to deliver a message of hope and humanity, but falls short of being a memorable or impactful one.

Through this movie, SRK and Raju Hirani were competing who could give their worst performance ever. The only good thing about this movie was Vicky Kaushal.
