One of the best video game adaptations of all time. It takes what is by far the best story in the sonic games, and manages to make it even better while being incredibly faithful to the source material. It even manages to recreate some of the most iconic moments from that game in a way that were unexpected but awesome. I really loved this movie. One of my favorite movies of the year!

Wet dream for Sonic Adventure 2 fans, and Jim Carrey is phenomenal (as always). But you need to either be a diehard Sonic fan or a kid to enjoy this in its entirety The movie has the fewest scenes with humans (minus the Robotniks) of any in the trilogy, which it benefits from tremendously. It works best when it's true to its source material, but there were some movie-specific aspects I really enjoyed Stay for the two post-credit scenes!

While I can be hit or miss on the humor in this series (unlike many people I think Jim Carrey's Robotnik/Eggman is more hit or miss) this was a great alternate interpretation on Sonic Adventure 2, having Gerald Robotnik be an active part of the story was really nice. Outside that gets the tone of OG SA2 while still having the unique but still decent faithful interpretation of the original Sonic characters AND having very little screentime of unimportant/boring humans.

"Sonic the Hedgehog 3" exceeds all expectations, delivering a spectacular blend of action, humor, and emotion. However, what truly elevates the film to epic status is the introduction of Shadow the Hedgehog, voiced by the unmistakable and captivating Keanu Reeves.

Why didn't Knuckles fall when he traveled over the red tile? Otherwise it's a great world. All the other insanity makes sense. Come on, though. Cut some stuff.
