Though it has a really great cast, three great French actors as main cast, and it is really well acted, the atmosphere is really icy. But there is major plot mistake, certainly there should be a doubt about Mireille Darc’s character’s guilt, but there isn’t. You cannot believe one second she is not a murderess, so at the end there’s no suspense.

Odd at times (mainly a woman giving a total stranger her number after he more or less stalked her), but effective French-thriller with fine performances from Alain Delon, Claude Brasseur and especially Mireille Darc. Pretty sad in the end but worth checking out. **3.5/5**
