Featured Comments/Tips

The movie was brilliant, although not without its shortcomings. First, the cinematography was outstanding, the color grading was brilliantly done. Acting by Vicky Kaushal as Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw was executed flawlessly, and brought so much depth to the character. I don't quite liked Fatima's acting as Indira Gandhi, it wasn't convincing enough for me. The movie was well researched, undue credit to the whole team. One more problem I found was it's editing, many times it felt like we are reading chapters from a book and skipping few pages at a time. **My rating: 9/10**

Vicky Kaushal delivers an outstanding performance as Sam Manekshaw, perfectly capturing his mannerisms, voice, and expressions. The supporting cast, including Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh, adds to the film's brilliance. The movie is well-researched and well-written, striking a balance between drama, action, and emotion. However, the film does have its flaws. It feels a bit cluttered and rushed in certain parts, particularly in the first half, where it tries to cover too much ground in a short amount of time. This could have easily been made into a 8-episode series/show given the extensive and remarkable career and life of Sam Manekshaw. Overall, Sam Bahadur is a well-crafted biography and brilliantly acted film that pays tribute to a legendary figure in Indian history.

certainly the best of army movie I have seen so far
