Yeah, Jackie doesn't do all his stunts by himself anymore, which is not only fine but perfectly understandable regarding his age. While not a masterpiece, it's definetly better than the average hollyweird movie or even "blockbuster".

The Chinese Bud Spencer does not pummel much here. Is a sort of career self-tribute, inside a light Chinese-style family drama. Quite pleasant and honest for what it wants to say.

I've watched Jackie Chan movies since my childhood. Ultimately, _Ride On_ was the first film of 2023 to make me cry and the first one in a long while – possibly ever! – to make me ugly cry.

I really wanted to like Ride On but its syrupy, sentimentalism, left me feeling queasy.
