Revenge of the Ninja

"Revenge of the Ninja" is a perfect example of "so bad, it's good". It has some of the worst acting and is one of the most unintentionally funny movies I have ever seen. It does feature a skilled martial arts master in Sho Kosugi, who as a bonus, carries the lead role confidently if not quietly. But the other ninjas are awful. Arthur Roberts plays bad guy Braden who looks a bit like Will Farrell playing a rich porn director. Mario Gallo as Caifano plays the most cliched and inept mob boss ever. You must see this movie because it has got some of the most ridiculous martial arts scenes you will ever witness. For example, Sho Kosugi's character has three arrows shot at him. He catches on in his left hand, one in this right hand and one with his teeth. Yep. That happened very early in the movie and from that point on, I knew this was going off the rails. Later, a grandmother back flips her way across a room and a 45 pound eight-year old beats up on a couple of 300 pound henchmen. And it's all done completely straight-faced.
