(2.1/10) - This movie failed on pretty much every level; from depressingly predictable outcomes to complete lack of originality and plot.

Ryan Reynolds is a superb actor, who has featured in some of my absolute favourite movies such as ‘6 Underground’ and ‘Deadpool’, but this was a truly shocking action-“comedy.”

I don’t think I have ever watched a movie with so many repeated gags (if you can call them that) and just downright plain and ridiculous moments.

The primary antagonists were literally just fat monsters who basically ran around wreaking havoc and using crazily unreal sci-fi gadgets to provoke mayhem, which I believe I have seen so many times before!

And just when I thought the film couldn’t get any less watchable, there was a lousily lengthy action sequence in the city of Boston that left me feeling super underwhelmed.

Overall, I am very unimpressed with the lack of almost everything good about a Ryan Reynolds movie; it’s a Men In Black rip off that could’ve been made by children aged 4. Roy (Jeff Bridges) and Nick (Ryan Reynolds) have no chemistry whatsoever and most of the movie is just the two of them rambling on about pure nonsense.

Best Scene: The elevator sequence where Nick causes it to fly through the roof (6.9/10)

Extra Note: Don’t bother watching this appalling display of writing and CGI (it’s sooo low-budget and embarrassingly bad at times.)
