I only watched this movie because I love horror, Japanese culture and it had a good score on iMDB. But DO NOT BE FOOLED! This movie is absolutely cheap, boring, silly, poorly acted and terribly executed

It's a creepy, atmospheric slow-burn. The theme of loneliness explored here is interesting, as is post apocalyptic story of the dead seeping into our world.

Extremely creative, a horror movie with technology that is way ahead of its time, using the internet as a theme, which at the time was still in its early stages. The story is interesting and the representation of the supernatural is unique, creepy and innovative, with a similar pattern to computer viruses. The sound design is excellent, as is the image, which is raw, has dark, grainy tones, and these elements together create a very gloomy atmosphere. The movie is long and has a lot of characters, some of whom end up being underdeveloped, but it is a well-structured, highly engaging film, with impactful scenes and very bold paths.
