I don't know if this movie works as well as it did without the breakout performances of the two leads. I see a lot of people comparing this to Booksmart and that's fair, but I liked this movie a lot more than Booksmart.

Hilarious. The writers and director really know the coming of age road trip formula. It felt very nostalgic but not literally as I am a grown-ass man. Just reminds me of the really funny classics of the genre. Well-acted leads and funny blunt scenarios and writing. A joy to watch.
