I'm (almost) at a loss for words. On the one hand, this is so completely awful that it's funny; on the other hand, it's so completely awful that...well, it's awful. If you can watch this with the idea of a campy, schlocky, 80's slasher with a low budget and incredibly bad acting - and expect nothing more - you'll probably find this a lot of fun. This made it to my currently-watching list of _15 of the Goriest Horror Movies of All Time_ and I suppose, by sheer volume of red paint, this would qualify it to be on that list. The kills were laughable however - and I think we can safely assume they weren't _intended_ to be - and so completely juvenile that I remarked at one point during the film, _"This is something like I would have written in high school."_ Good ol' Christopher George; it's impossible for me to see him in anything without recalling _City of the Living Dead_ (or _The Gates of Hell_ as it was released in the U.S.) and his hokey acting in that one, as well. At numerous points throughout the film, I almost felt sorry for Paul L. Smith in his role as "Willard"; I don't know whether his acting chops were actually that horrid, or if he was instructed to act that terribly; they attempted so many times, and in so many ways, to misdirect the viewer to think "Willard" was the killer that it was obvious almost from the beginning that it would be anyone EXCEPT him. His over-the-top, glaring, rolling eye, gruff demeanor, obviously-threatening voice just...well it was laughable, actually. The ending - and especially that closing scene - seemed to come right out of a Lucio Fulci film, or possibly some other Italian gorefest director.

If you're watching movies only for the "gore" effect (as I am, thanks to my current watchlist at the moment) this will probably be a letdown. "Bloody", yes...there are buckets of red paint spilled here for the sake of appearing gruesome but "gory"...I would stop well short of that; the kills here are much more like the _Friday the 13th_ variety: a spear, an axe, a knife...and a lot of red paint, and even some seemingly violent scenes but nothing like being eviscerated or skinned alive, etc. So yeah, I would consider this one "bloody" but it _does_ IMO stop short of being "gory".

If you're watching this for anything other than the above-mentioned reasoning, well then you get what you deserve. This was just incredibly bad and not worth wasting even the short 85 minutes on.
