if you are going to watch this movie, don't see the trailer or read ANYTHING about it. you are going to see a plot twist that is going to blow your mind!

How can so little happen in 2 hours? Just watch this movie to find out. There is a flashback at the 12 minute mark...not a life flashback from years ago, but one from earlier in the movie. By the way, you've seen this movie before, it was called _Presumed Innocent_. Sure it's been changed a bit but...I will have to say Giovanni Ribisi has come a long way from his days as Pheobe's brother on _Friends_ I thought he did a great job here and it was nice to finally see Bruce Willis not playing some washed up cop/fed/military dude.

Okay, now I didn't see that coming...

Sometimes it is not a bad thing to know nothing about a movie you´re about to watch. Keeps expectations low and you take it for what it is. Not a cinematic highlight but quite entertaining.

It's all good, but the original murder and covering it up in winter... come on. ;)

What an awful, hideous movie. The true villains of this movie are played as if they're victims. It's nuts. Just a gross movie. Oh also, people in this movie wait a legit 3 seconds for someone to respond via IM and if they don't its, "hello?! where are you?! are you there?!"

Truth be told the only reason I even gave the movie a chance is because Bruce Willis was in it, being a big fan of his, I decided to overlook the terribly contrived trailer. Sometimes trailers can be misleading, sadly this is not the case and I was treated (for lack of a better term) to a terribly contrived movie about an investigative journalist (Halle Berry) who starts looking into a mogul (Willis) after her friend dies mysteriously. Awful dialog and sub-par acting (save for Bruce who at least tries somewhat) is coupled with an inane story and "twists" that exist for no other logical reason than to merely have twists.

Perfect Stranger is one of those movies that tries to be a slick psychological thriller but ends up feeling like a mess of half-baked ideas. The plot starts off with potential, setting up an intriguing mystery, but the execution is all over the place. Instead of building suspense naturally, it throws in forced twists and unnecessary subplots that make the story feel scattered rather than engaging. The script is weak, with awkward dialogue and unnatural character interactions that make it hard to take seriously. The directing and cinematography choices don’t help either. The framing is weird, with tight close-ups that often cut off the tops of actors' heads, making the whole thing visually frustrating. The performances feel underwhelming, especially Bruce Willis, who seems uninterested in the role. Even Halle Berry, who is usually solid, struggles with the material. The film tries to create tension through its score and sound design, but it never really lands. Instead of enhancing the atmosphere, it just highlights how flat everything feels. Overall, Perfect Stranger feels more like a wasted opportunity than a gripping thriller.
