We are with Pasolini during the last hours of his life, as he talks with his beloved family and friends, writes, gives a brutally honest interview, shares a meal with Ninetto Davoli, and cruises for the roughest rough trade in his gun-metal gray Alfa Romeo. Over the course of the action, Pasolini’s life and his art are constantly refracted and intermingled to the point where they become one.

The structure of the film is different and makes use of Pasolini's own work, creating scenes that are interspersed between an interview and personal actions in his moments, as well as writings and reflections, presenting a kind of ordered chaos that is more intimate and explicit. This is a film whose poetic metaphor is integrated into reality in a distinct, fluid, uncomfortable and captivating way.

Pessimo. La prima parte del film presuppone una conoscenza dell'autore e delle sue opere, rendendo il film poco fruibile a chi si voleva magari proprio avvicinare all'artista. La seconda parte è invece pura follia, che immagino sia riuscita a sembrare pazzesca e sconclusionata persino a chi conosce benissimo la produzione di Pasolini. La parte dell'omicidio e del gigolò è squallida, approssimativa e patetica. Da dimenticare.
