My God that was terrible. I can'#39;t believe the writer and director of Timecrimes and Colossal created this piece of crap.

If David Cage made a film... it had a few brief inspired moments, and then it added 50 more ideas.

Intense and exciting, Open Windows is a dynamic psychological thriller. After receiving a mysterious call an obsessive fan is given unrestricted access to an actress’s phone and laptop, but he soon finds himself caught up in a deadly game that spirals out of his control. Elijah Wood gives an incredible performance, and Sasha Grey also proves to have some talent. Presented in real-time and going in and out of multiple video streams on a computer screen, the unique directing style helps to bring an intensity to the scenes. Open Windows is an extraordinarily daring film that is full of suspense and intrigue.

The movie seems promising at first but slowly loses focus towards the middle and ultimately it becomes quite a mess. It'#39;s a shame because I loved the concept of this.

I think the story was great with some plot twists which is something that I like. However, the special effects really suck.. and the technology they try to use his ridiculous and unreall

The first half was pretty exciting but after they left the hotel it went downhill. But the concept was interesting haven'#39;t seen anything like that.

It'#39;s a high-concept thriller full of twists and turns...but it'#39;s also a deeply, deeply flawed movie on many levels. If you are willing to forgive ridiculously dumb twists, utterly unrealistic technology and some bad acting, if you are willing to be in it for the ride, you will enjoy this movie - it'#39;s a LOT of fun - but turn off your brain, you'#39;ll have to.

He has not been bad, but the end sucks. These laptops and never lose signal and infinite battery. This hotel with WIFI that does not fall ...

Sasha Grey

Judging by the trailer, this is looking rather weird to be honest.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8prOZOIR2A

Streamed via Tubi Interesting and intriguing thriller with great suspense. It tackles our unhealthy obsession with celebrities and how we have very little privacy in the digital age. I liked the creativity, the ridiculousness and the presentation used in this film with the constant play on technology. Sasha Grey is the worst thing in this film and it'#39;s funny she plays as a terrible actress in here. But Elijah Wood is the perfect cast for his character. Honestly he'#39;s kind of the saving grace in this because the whole thing just wouldn'#39;t work without him. It has some really cool plot twists that also make absolutely zero sense but I dig it. I enjoyed more than I thought I would although it didn'#39;t always hit the mark and was hard to suspend disbelief at times.

It’s like the song that never ends, it just goes on and on, my friends. Guys, this movie should have been a nice little short film that got straight to the point, because the concept wasn’t that bad. Voyeurism is a subgenre in thriller films, as I just finished reviewing the remake of Rear Window. It’s interesting in more ways than one – but this movie just takes it too far, complete with video cameras that can apparently see through walls like Superman’s X-Ray vision – and that’s not even the worst of it. This movie has at the very least three concrete endings. The first one, I couldn’t help but notice was smack dab in the middle of the movie. I was about to get up to do some chores when I realized that there was still 45 minutes left. Then 30 minutes left. Then 15. This movie feels extremely long at 90 minutes because there is absolutely no flow. The first half of the movie could be considered okay if it were to end at that point – but once it drags on, the movie quickly turns to crapitude in the blink of an eye. Why? In my opinion, the film believed whole-heartedly that it required having a twist ending. So instead of having a twist that makes any logical sense, they go on and on trying to explain something that defies logic, and in result, digs itself deeper into a neverending pit of disappointment. I’m sitting here writing this review extremely confused. I was at least somewhat interested in seeing this movie, regardless that on Netflix, it holds a 1/5 star rating. The concept looked interesting, and I am more or less, a fan of Elijah Wood. As I’ve said, the beginning of the movie isn’t bad at all – it hits all the points it needs to in order to prepare you for this cyber world…it just stumbles over itself so many times that I’m almost embarrassed at the fact that I even watched it to begin with. These movies make me question on if I should watch another one…

**The night of the battle of the hackers!** I have been longing to watch this film since it was out, only now it had happened. There are not many hacking film that could satisfy thoroughly. Well, I haven't found as impressive as the recent 'Who Am I'. This film was more like partially a found-footage type. Everything was from webcams and phone cams. Not exactly truthful to the reality. Even people with basic knowledge about computers would know that. But entertainment was there. I enjoyed it, mainly because of the speed and being an edgy. Well, a contest winner is waiting in his hotel room for his dinner date with a celebrity in the later night. While he was updating his blog, someone hacks his computer and gives more contents for the blog than he had thought of. But soon it all plays out differently. Now he's the hacker's puppet, and must follow everything he says or the consequences would be serious. How far it all goes and how it all ends are the remaining story to tell us. As I said not the best in this theme, but watchable film. Everything was a one night event. Slowly started and then picked up the pace before ending on a high. The end was not good, the twist. At least that's how I felt. Should have been better, yet acceptable. Elijah was good. I just checked it out after seeing his nice act in his latest Netflix film. The rest of the cast was fine too. A Spanish film in English language. Soon I'm going to check out the 'Colossal' from this same director. So it is a good time pass film and you might enjoy it as I did. **6/10**

**Real-time hacker film that is all style no substance.** There were so many times I was shaking my head at the sheer stupidity of this film. The premise is thin, the acting is mostly weak. There are some kind of cool visuals, but they don't make up for the many, many flaws. Even the usually solid Elijah Wood seems to be coasting. Real-time can be exciting, and I get that the style the film makers were going for, but your film still needs to work even if it didn't have the gimmick. This one does not. 4/10

It's up to Frodo Baggins to save pornstar Sasha Grey! I didn't realise it was like a found footage film (was bored in most of the film). But it gets the extra star for that surprising twist! Plus it featured Elijah Wood from Lord of the Rings and former adult star Sasha Grey in what I assume is her first main role in a mainstream film. In other words, I'm leaving the three stars as it is.

The problems posed by the authors of this film are understandable. This is the openness of society. We are all under the hood. And no one will be able to hide from Big Brother’s field of vision, even if we just sit at home and eat scrambled eggs with bacon. But now there are many decentralized applications such as Utopia p2p, which can save data security. I don’t understand why they say little about it?
