*My Worst Fear: The Movie*

Let's go scuba diving, it'll be fun they said...

A rough start. Wasn't too sure if I accidentally tuned into amateur porn there for a second. It's very amateur and film student level indeed but just like amateur porn, it's more realistic because it doesn't feel as scripted. That helped the movie be more scary for me.

***Open Water*** is your worst nightmare if you have thalassophobia (fear of open water) and I sure as hell have that one! There's nothing worse than being trapped and not being able to come out of the water. You're helpless and you can't even see what's lurking below you. Insert some sharks into the mix and I become way more hysterical than the characters in this movie. Would probably pass out.

It's quite the nail biting experience but the filmmaking quality did take me out of it a few times. The shark sightings look very real though, definitely not CGI but maybe real footage. The short runtime really helps. The melodrama is good comedy. Strong terrifying last couple of minutes.

Definitely go skiing next time, Susan!
