If this were a book, it would go in the Did Not Finish pile.

I remember watching this for the first time when it came out. It absolutely blew my mind that I watched it a few more times with different people. The CGI effects were amazing, as was the action scenes!! The storyline and acting were superb too! Cannot wait for the next movie "London Has Fallen".

buy it: great action movie if you want a touch off comedy, try white house down

This movie was made more enjoyable by the simple fact that it was something my wife actually suggested we watch. That initial shock probably got my adrenaline pumping for this wannabe "Die Hard" actioner.

The chaos is non-stop and the violence is stunning and if you're looking for a wild ride, this would be a good two hour fix.

The characters are not quite paper thin. There is a little substance to our hero Mike (Gerard Butler) and a relatively distinguished President (Aaron Eckhart). They are both likable actors and can each do the action thing nearly as well as anyone else in the movie biz these days. I am getting a bit tired of watching Morgan Freeman in everything, though.

There's really nothing new to "Olympus Has Fallen" but it earns its "R" rating with blood and brutality. At least that gives it a level of realism that most PG-13, CGI-heavy action flicks can't deliver.

This is an awesome patriotic action movie. There are more movies featuring the same character. Next on my playlist, London Has Fallen.

I pity all those poor souls who consider this trash to be as good as Die Hard used to be. In comparison to "Olympus Has Fallen", "White House Down" almost looks really good.

Typical action movie without real plot, how is the most powerful country on Earth can't destroy some shitty aircraft before it breaches their territory, an army takes 15 minutes to get to the mose "protected" place on earth? comeon... Bullshit plot, but great action, great actors and powerful visual effects... So if you're in for the action only then it's for you, if you seek more real plot then don't waste your time...

I enjoyed it, all the other reviews here are over-analysing it excessively to the point of stupidity. If you love hard core action, this is a great film.
