MASTER (2021) TAMIL REVIEW

With Tamil Superstars Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi both being orchestrated by 2 Films old director Lokesh Kanagaraj, he had the added pressure of right distribution of screen space for both. Lokesh has done a fine job in levelling both into distinct and correct proportions. The movie by all means is not fit for the OTT Space and the makers have waited for the release since April 2020 for the right reasons. Master is massy and is an all out big screen extravaganza which should be watched with a packed crowd. But unfortunately due to the pandemic the occupancy is limited to 50% hence the box office will not accumulate as the makers would have liked to. The best thing about the movie is the cast and their face-off where their individual stories run parallel to each other.

With Lokesh's Maanagaram and Kaithi , audience may have high expectations from master. But if not 100% , Master delivers what a massy movie feels like. Huge Star entries, Catchy Music, Outstanding BGM, Slow Motion Shots and Hard hitting dialogues alll with two superstars leading it is a sure shot box office winner. Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi both are outstanding as always. Malvika hasn't had much role but has done a decent job. High on entertainment but low in substance is what I would like to conclude my review.

Overall, Keep Your expectations low and sit and relax to enjoy the intimidating face-off between Two Tamil Superstars who make you realise why the pandemic needs to end to accommodate more massy movies which a country like India adores.
