This is more a drama than an actual Spaghetti Western. I actually enjoyed the fact that it was set in Spain, instead of in Mexico. Made more sense. The only western element was the stagecoach robbery. Other than that it was the Gypsy Carmen (well played by Tina Aumont) manipulating José into a variety of situations he was not really comfortable being in. And it had a truly "European ending" enough said about that here. The movie was actually based on "Carmen" the novella, not the opera, which I watched in Music Appreciation class in Jr. High School. Check out my list: https://trakt.tv/users/jeffsmith99/lists/spaghetti-westerns-i-want-to-watch The film is on my list not because it is a "Spaghetti Western," but because it was made in 1967, stars SW regulars Franco Nero, Klaus Kinski, and "Lee Burton" and is filmed in Andalucia Spain. And it has some nice music and lots of scenery, includeing deserts, beaches, and flamingos. I saw this on tubitv. Search for "Man, Pride, and Vengeance"
