"Mark Twain once wrote the only difference between reality and fiction is that fiction needs to be credible." A sadly all-too-accurate critique of this movie these days. A Jon Stewart type of late night comedian winning a presidential election *isn't* hard to believe, not after that spray-tanned fuck clown won in 2016 and again in 2014. What *isn't* credible is the guy who was a heartbeat away from the presidency doing [spoiler]the right thing and telling the American public that he ***wasn't*** the duly elected nominee.[/spoiler]

This movie was entertaining and had some funny moments. Robin Williams was great. It is definitely worth watching.

:heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart: - This film has it all, electronic voting, corrupt politicians on both sides of the aisles. Watching in September 2017 some of the things in the script seem startlingly prophetic & pertinent. Christopher Walken is, as always, a great cast as Tom Dobbs manager & the tenderness that Robin Williams conveyed in the hospital scenes remind us that among the crazy laughs was a great actor.
