"Mark Twain once wrote the only difference between reality and fiction is that fiction needs to be credible." A sadly all-too-accurate critique of this movie these days. A Jon Stewart type of late night comedian winning a presidential election *isn't* hard to believe, not after that spray-tanned fuck clown won in 2016 and again in 2014. What *isn't* credible is the guy who was a heartbeat away from the presidency doing [spoiler]the right thing and telling the American public that he ***wasn't*** the duly elected nominee.[/spoiler]

This movie was entertaining and had some funny moments. Robin Williams was great. It is definitely worth watching.

The film is at the crossroads, neither a good political thriller nor a comedy. And although the film is packed with stars that do what they can, the shallow plot is beyond saving.
