Agree...

I give it a 6 but I'm tempted to lower it to a 3 if I took in account that this is the a Superman story. The old Superman movies are totally unlike this one. Yes it's a darker Superman movie. So this movie will be a disappointment watching it with that expectation in your mind.

But then again... Why do I grade this watch once (longing for the credits to appear) a 6?

It made me realize that people like to watch movies about devastating destruction and annihilation of total civilisation instead of the A-team like screenplay where not even the bad guys got hurt. There was always a camera shot to make sure that every kid saw that the bad guy thrown of a building by B.A. Baracus softly landed in a garbage bin.

Dirty, dizzy BUT ALIVE !!!

Yep, humans are fasinated by their own descruction.

So back to the movie:
Take a know story. Introduce some special effects and a lot of violence. Make money and stain the superman idol for every kid in the future !!!

Like Obama for saying "YES you can" this film maker should be prosecuted. So I guess I should give it a 3, but the special effects were good.

My advice don't watch it. For obvious reasons.

There's nothing really wrong with portaying violence in movies. They decided to do so in order to give it a more realistic/dark feel (Obviously not really realstic. It is a film). I believe it wasn't well done, but the idea is ok. And you have to take in consideration what other effects it has if you show the bad guys still alive as you said. It's in its own way unrealistic and more fitting for children. Or for comedy. The studio also had a huge influence. They tried to make a potentially great film more appealing for mainstream audiences, turing it into a boring bland of hollywood cliches. It obviously had its own problems as well.
