Tim Hunter is a capable director, and Cage is a decent enough actor, but this film ranks as a bit of a disappointment. It'#39;s enjoyable enough, but there are a lot of plot holes, and some weird dialogue choices that don'#39;t help the already broken script. Cage has made many many films that are worse than this, but this is still another in a long line of strange career choices.

Spoilers

**Intro** The intro doesn'#39;t contain that much info. **Build-up** The build-up ain'#39;t bad and does give you the psychological thriller feeling. **Plot/Ending** The plot/ending is terrible. It feels rushed as he'#39;ll and leaves you with questions. (Not the good ones that make you want a part 2).

Couldn't make it through the whole movie, it was that bad.

So boring I literally shut it off at the climax. If you want a thriller that highlights Cage's talents, check out Mandy instead.

Nicolas Cage really needs money. Looks like half was missing, not sure if the writer was drugged or the company ran out of movie. The ending was crazy, far too abrupt.

Nothing anywhere near perfect, or even super logical, but I still enjoyed watching '#39;Looking Glass'#39;. It builds up the tension and darkness well, with the ghost town feel to everything. The cinematography, particularly the lighting, is rather nice. The premise and its execution, while intriguing, does have problems, but the two leads are fun to watch. Nicolas Cage (Ray) and Robin Tunney (Maggie) make for a good pairing, both give satisfactory performances. Marc Blucas is, I thought anyway, pretty decent in his role as Howard; though the writing does let his character down. Other negatives for the film include the average music and crappy opening credits. Overall though, I felt suitably entertained by this.

Nicholas Cage'#39;s wire beard is compelling which I guess kept me watching.

Can'#39;t add much to the other peoples comments before mine. Probably the best Nicolas Gage movie in a number of years, but his acting hasn'#39;t improved much.. scratch - at all. Didn'#39;t know he was in it till the movie started, and then didn'#39;t expect to watch it till the end - surprise! I made it to the end and didn'#39;t feel like I wasted an evening. 7/10

It'#39;s a fairly average thriller, with some '#34;cliche'#34; stuff in it, but it'#39;s a decent time waster, especially if you'#39;re looking for Cage in a role where he'#39;s not a madman for once. I enjoyed it enough.

nicolas cage is very busy with federal taxes so he play so much stupid role ... This one is a other one don'#39;t loose your times on this movie. even from a real story you have the documentary VOYEUR from 2017 who is the real story of a mad man looking custumers having sexe, etc, ...

It's nice to see Cage get through a movie without doing the thing he usually does, but _Looking Glass_ is pretty much a non-event. _Final rating:★★ - Had some things that appeal to me, but a poor finished product._
