A navel gazing woman makes terrible romantic choices and then pouts because her actions have consequences. Meanwhile, there's no story line, no narrative arc and the characters don't evolve as the film ends with no ending. At least if I were straight, I could've appreciated Juliette Binoche's breasts and cleavage, which seem to be the star of the film.

People endlessly looking for 'love' when what they really need is counselling and Jesus. Juliette's charm and beauty can carry many a film across the line, but no plot of substance made for this major downfall. When pouting Sylvian appeared, I assumed that the sunshine was a man in leather, but no the sunshine is within....but will only dawn once the illusive right man appears...

Meandering french alcoholics binded by deep voids they fill with sexual proclivities perform hilarious long scenes of dialogue overwrought with inane existential banter dripping with dark comedic pathos. If you dig Truffaut, Jarmusch or Venders you’ll love it.

Now I do like Juliet Binoche. She has a versatility to her as an actor that means she can just about turn her hand to anything. Quite why she picked this rather humdrum exercise, though, is a bit of a puzzle. She is "Isabelle", a divorced forty-something mother who's looking for something just that More
